Let’s face it: life isn’t a romantic movie. People break up all the time, and sometimes even the most seemingly perfect couple ends up breaking up. Sadly, it’s all just part of dating and life. But breakups don’t always have to be so bad.
More and more people are finding ways to stay friends with their exes, which is a great thing. And even when things end in a bad way, there are always valuable lessons you can learn.
Relationships are very complicated, and if someone happens to be on the verge of a breakup, it doesn’t have to be that difficult to decipher. Men can be a little hard to read sometimes, but it’s not impossible to figure out what they’re thinking and feeling.
Today, New Jersey Singles reviews the telltale sign’s he’s falling out of love with you.
1. “I miss the way we used to be.”
Nostalgia is a heavy thing to carry around. It can make our present lives appear like they’re lacking, even if they’re technically pretty good. It’s not realistic for relationships to stay the same, if you want something long-term, then you pretty much need to accept that bad times are going to happen here and there.
But if your partner is reminiscing about how things used to be, then it’s possible he wants all the nice things that come with the new relationship without all the hard times. It’s also possible that your partnership has just changed more significantly than he expected.
2. “I need some space.”
Everyone needs space, but different people need different amounts of space. If your partner says he needs space, it doesn’t necessarily mean he wants to break up with you, but it’s a possibility. If you hear those dreaded words of needing space, take into consideration other signs that can pinpoint how your relationship is going.
If there are other points of tensions happening in your relationship, then it could be a sign of trouble. But if a request for space is an isolated event, or you’ve just had a fight, then it might just mean that your boyfriend needs some time alone to clear his mind. Space doesn’t have to be a bad thing in a relationship, but if you spend too much time apart from each other, it can be hard to recover the distance.
3. “I don’t want to talk.”
If your boyfriend says he doesn’t want to talk, it can be alarming because he’s shutting down communication, which is not good for your relationship. Again, it’s important to consider other things happening in your relationship at the time.
If he’s asking you to give him some time before an important talk, then it’s okay to give it to him.
However, if your boyfriend says he doesn’t want to talk every time you have something important to say, it can mean that he doesn’t care about you or the relationship anymore. Not wanting to talk can also point to indifference, or it can mean your partner is confiding in someone else.
How many of these signs do you see in your relationship? Do you think your guy is falling out of love with you, or was it just an isolated incident? Either way, it’s a good idea to talk to him to figure out where you stand.
